Events v "Trafačka"
Kvalita přehrávaného videa je zvolena podle rychlosti vašeho připojení.
Výstava „Přívětivě povědomé“ bude pro mnohé zřejmě překvapením a to nikoli dík samotným artefaktům, ale spíše autorům, kteří za nimi stojí. Daniel Vlček je vnímán hlavně jako osoba spojená s kolektivní identitou Guma Guar. Matyáš Chochola je veřejnosti znám jako přímočarý tvůrce komorních humoresek. Od těchto autorů nejsme zvyklí vídat aukční umění. Domnělá konformita je tu pouze vizuálním jazykem. Její možnosti jsou mnoha dalšími autory objevovány právě v době, kdy nonkonformita platí za očekávanou a sama se stala strnulým sebereferenčním znakem.

For instance, we wanted to create a band.
It's going to perform here today, by the way.
We work together, even without Petr.
"Kindly Familiar". Or is it "Familiarly Kind"?
Something like that.
- Matyáš and I share a studio. - Daniel is a painter...
- And Matyáš makes sculptures. - So we made this together.
This is a serious exhibition.
Even the curator Petr Brožka wanted it to be serious.
For us to be able to sell some works.
The exhibition comprises our favourite works.
Auction art.
You can say that we both deal with the same themes,
we're connected to the same universes.
Daniel and I met at a time
when we were both interested in classic forms.
Among the sources of inspiration for my objects,
there are themes like abstraction, minimalism, psychedelia,
even tribal cultures.
I'm glad you mentioned the word "tribal"
because all these paintings are based on primary shapes
and on a rhythm that corresponds with the totems.
This is a clear parallel between our works.
We both attach a great importance to sound,
so that's another area where we have a lot in common.
It's a mystical, reductionist, minimalist level
that is abstract and cold. - And kind.
