Kvalita přehrávaného videa je zvolena podle rychlosti vašeho připojení.
Erik Šille (*1978, Rožňava) patrí k absolventom katedry maľby 4. ateliéru profesora Ivana Csudaia na VŠVU. V autorovej tvorbe je zjavný inšpiračný prienik vizuálnej estetiky populárnej kultúry ako sú street-art, komix, animované seriály či počítačové videohry. Ide najmä o prácu s farbou v priestore, ktorá vyvoláva zdanie (simuluje) elektronického obrazu – maľby generovanej počítačovým programom. Novinkou na výstave v Turčianskej galérii v Martine sú svetelné objekty.
This exhibition is called Alchemy of Wandering,
it is held in Turiec Gallery Martin.
The name results from the theme presented in my paintings.
Here I am dealing with the loss
in the sense of migration for work, friends, or partners.
At the same time, it represents the loss of relationship with home, too.
Here you can see 18 large format acryl paintings
I´ve made since 2008 up to date.
My paintings made during 2011
differ from the previous ones in colour scheme.
Before I used very strong colours
whereas now I start using faint colours.
I kept on dealing with the theme of loss.
There is loss of maternity, home, or city identity.
There is an object I made for the Crocus Gallery in Bratislava.
It is a bird box in a children coffin. Or rather three bird boxes in a children coffin.
It will be installed in the Slovak Paradise, in a treetop.
There is a light object, too.
I made it by cavil into perspex.
It is a kind of light drawing.
I do not miss objects, I prefer painting.
However, when I think of my paintings and the objets I will paint there,
sometimes I have an idea that the object
will look better also situated next to the painting.
Amethyst Deceivers is a name derived from the music group Coil.
In this painting the theme of immigration is presented.
I chose animated figures that lead me out of my childhood.
Every figure has a dog.
They decided to abandon their home and relatives.
All figures are carriers of loss.
