Národní galerie v Praze ve spolupráci se Skupinou ČEZ pořádá již pátý ročník Ceny 333 pro mladé umělce působící v České a Slovenské republice. Podle podmínek soutěže nesmí věk soutěžících do konce kalendářního roku 2011 přesáhnout 33 let a zároveň nemá být nižší než 15 let. Cena je udělována za dílo libovolného žánru či média vytvořené v posledních třech letech. Mecenášem soutěže je společnost Securitas ČR, s. r. o.

This Prize has not been meant as a competitor to the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize.
The reason why we founded this prize is very pragmatic.
The company Securitas operates in 50 countries.
And for example in Germany,
Securitas has been sponsoring young artists for a long time.
Once I realized, inspired by the situation in Germany,
that I would give something back to young artists as well.
I offered Mr Knížák 10 000 euros.
We discussed it in his office,
and he suggested the amount of 333.000 Czech crowns.
So that was the beginning of the story.
