Projekt BGHPS chce naopak od tohoto momentu začít a vypustit serióznost, rozpustit identitu a egocentrismus autorů v jeden synergický a pomatený nástěnný vzkaz.

We have worked together for a long time
with the 4 Days in Motion festival.
We enjoy this event because it spans accross
many domains,
connecting contemporary theatre
with other domains, and most of all, art as a whole.
We were offered the possibility
of using this space,
even though we didn't know if it would really happen
until the last second.
I had been thinking about organizing
a massive group painting session
for some time.
The whole idea
is based on my great memories
of painting together with other people.
This is often done
at art colleges:
People paint collectively,
and it's a sort of group therapy.
Most paintings created in this way
are quite lame,
so you repaint or just destroy them later.
This lameness represents the starting point
of this big event.
This space made it possible to organize
the event in such a large scale.
I didn't want the exhibition
to be led by a curator.
I just wanted to involve as many people as possible,
but we had little time, and as a result
some of them are missing.
However, there's still a lot of them.
The result is ambivalent, a hybrid,
as the title of the event suggests.
But that's how it was meant to be -
it couldn't end up being a success.
The only possible result
is hybridity and ambivalence,
and it definitely shouldn't be taken seriously.
It's a game based on how the people
can relate to each other or even a
way to attack each other's work,
which has also happened.
This is an example of a disagreement
that has occured, and
I think it's one of the best things here.
The author is Jan Fabián,
and he actually wasn't scared to paint
over other people's works.
This has aroused an animated discussion
in which some people were offended.
I thought it was within the rules -
if he's able to do it, then why not let him.
The situation has no limitations.
He mixed some dirt,
put it into a pressurized spray can,
and sprayed it on the wall in a way
I find quite pleasant.
Anyway, you can still see the painting underneath,
so I think there was no point in discussing it.
The assistant professor Bromová is still visible!
