This exhibition reflects various processes
connected with architecture
that you can observe in the city.
It's a small city of 20,000 inhabitants
where the changes of the past 20 years
are even more visible than in big cities.
The videos focus on architectural forms
that were born in the city after 1989.
The common feature of these structures
is their temporary character
and their variability.
Their existence is based on anticipating
their end.
These forms of architecture
enter into mutual interaction,
the new forms absorb the older ones.
I tried to look at the city
through these architectural forms,
to find out that the city has become a means
of processing financial resources.
I observed how the capital enters the city
and expands in it.
This exhibition also comprises drawings
that form a separate cycle
but they are also connected with the videos.
They illustrate the relationships
between the architectural forms,
the way they overlap and appear or disappear.
So the drawings provide a key to the videos,
and vice versa.
