„mezinárodní výměnu” a platnost.
As the name itself suggests, Opening Performance Orchestra
has more members than bands usually consist of.
On the covers of their recordings one finds, at best, only their initials,
and each member has a strictly defined role.
Someone composes music, someone else performs it on the stage,
someone else creates photographs and videos, someone else
directs the show.
The first performance listed at their website allegedly took place in..
However, the first event we could call "a concert"
occurred 21 years later.. "May 2007"
The previous events and meetings were private
and only the members of OPO were present.
The process of collective creative production is in the world of OPO
more important than the desire for stage presentation.
Each of the shows organized by the group is unique, each act
intended for live performance is performed only once.
Other pieces by OPO bear titles such as "Spring,"
or "Autumn Ceremony" and the listener can
get to know them only through recordings.
Behind the intense sound experience provided by OPO
there is a detailed and sophisticated strategy.
The key term is "fractionalization" - that is manipulation
of incoming sounds by digital means.
The concert performance strictly follows a plan
so there is not much space left for improvisation.
No melody, no harmony, no rhythm - that's fraction music.
No melody, no harmony, no rhythm - that's fraction music.
No melody, no harmony, no rhythm - that's fraction music.
That's fraction music.
What's left is the experience of sophisticated but rough sound
and of the gradual discovery of what is hidden
in the torsos of incoming sounds.
