Events in "AVU v Praze|AVU in Prague"
The action of Vojtěch Fröhlich was prepared in the studio of conceptual explorations of Tomáš Vaněk. This is an event linking together several layers, making the viewer feel a bit from another dimensions of our living on the Earth.
Hi there!
Vojtěch Fröhlich - CIRCA... Academy of Fine Arts in Prague
I've been climbing like this
since I was about 13.
I started by duplicating things.
It started with the clock:
I got two identical clocks
and set one of them half a minute ahead
so you didn't know which one was right.
It's as if suddenly something happened
and the reality split into two parts,
or two photos were put over each other
for a while.
That's the moment I wanted to re-create
by multiplicating things.
It's as if the space got fragmented for some time.
My purpose was to create another dimension
that is slightly different from this space
so it makes you move in a different way.
The things have a certain logic,
only we can't see it.
I just wanted to make use
of my long experience with climbing.
I think it needs to be seen as a whole.
It's an installation
but it also works with time.
The things added up one by one.
For me, this work has many layers
one can think about.
It can't be put into one category.
It's rather a collection
of many different, interconnected things.
