Recording of Oskár Čepan Award winner annoucement in the foyer of the Slovak National Theatre. Interview with the coordinator Lucia Gavulová about 15th anniversary year of Award and its prepared and also demanded changes by the Slovak art community.

As a part of the ohrenstrand.net project, a moderated discussion between the artist Paul DeMarinis and the media scientist Siegfried Zielinski took place at the singuhr sound gallery. The discussion was entitled Klang – Raum – Erfindung.

The microscope 08 presented a discussion with Emőke Vargová about two basic lines of her work held by Zora Rusinová. One line is focused on the illusive space (eg objects of polythene, fragible structural hanging objects, sewn soft-relief images on transparent film coated textile, recently almost intangible paintings in acrylic and varnish on the drawing sheet, etc.).. The second line of related issues are essential femininity, including theme of hand work on linking women’s sensitivity.

LE GRAND MAGASIN dedicated itself to the investigation of collective forms of production. This initiative not only facilitated cooperation between artists and European cooperatives, but for over a year also operated a model department store in Berlin, for goods manufactured by producer cooperatives. In conclusion, artists and curators introduce the results of the 2-year process and, with their invited guests, discuss the redefinition of the concept of work and artistic entrepreneurship.

Several related architects and artists gathered over the plate so that each presented their current projects. Presentation is mainly related to the artistic intervention in public space and its current perception. Overall, one could summarize the symposium, the food was great,  artists haven’t penetrated  the problems of urban so much and for architects the contemporary art is  a fun for leisure.

Mario de Vega (1979), on the one hand, is an author who presents himself as a music improviser exploring the various forms of fragility. He builds his own musical instruments and adapts electronic technologies, record players and computers that he combines in different ways.
