Is contemporary art a product of fascination with aesthetic objects or a space of knowledge production? In which way does art operate with knowledge in relation to the terrain of academy and science or to media channels of information exchange? Which aesthetic and formal means does it employ in order to establish this specific modus operandi?
In this new body of work, the artist continues her exploration of familiar surroundings. In a series of drawings, objects, installations, videos and photographs, the artist examines, probes, and often redefines the conventional idea and meaning of “to be at home”. Through creating a series of staged situations, illustrated in drawings, video, photographs and models, the artist attempts to define the scope of deeply-rooted patterns and rules, which either influence or determine our behavior as we attempt to integrate ourselves in – or, distance ourselves from - conventional structures.

A project concerning the student’s identity and its history. It is held in occasion of 20th anniversary of Velvet Revolution in Czech Republic. Who is a student? Why and what for are we studying? What is the status of students in our society? Who creates the image of students? What was the influence of student movements in the past and what influence can it have today?

Ilona Neméth, Martin Piaček a Jánoš Sugár are giving a play to common subjects, that we can substitute with any concrete content (eg. places, people conflicts and other ways of communication, … and the results or processes of it) and which might be disintegration or integration, banalization, alienation or aggression, silent appeal, intervention etc. But the concrete is only suggested and not really entered. Mud fight by Ilona Neméth, construction disintegrading into gallows-like pieces by Martin Piaček and public signs with everyday human statements bordering importance by Jánoš Sugár are clear forms language, talking about shadow troubles of relations.
