Soo Jung Choi selects trivial things or their illustrations from various contexts of everyday life and paints copies of them; once they have been separated from any precisely definable context, she introduces them into her large-format acrylics paintings and collages as both structuring elements and artistic depictions.

Berlin based artist, Reynold Reynold’s will be building his film set and filming his latest work “Six Easy Pieces” in one of MMX’s unique rooms where the public will be encouraged to get a behind the scenes look of his production and filming process.

Exhibition project “Deep in Grass” isn’t just the latest example of the creative stage or the fresh works of painter Michael Czinege (1980). It is here on purposeful author’s concept and the selection of artifacts that represent the actual results of focused research and experimentation in the field of painting. He is studying the ways, that digital media techniques can be used in work of  painter. His main interest is layering, where layers form different paths in different ways on the surface of canvas. Layering is made by  silk screen printing method and sprays. Some of the fragments and forms get their own independence during the process and emancipate. 

It is a kind of game with basic shapes, which results in both screenings shapes changes projected in one room gallery and the resulting three-dimensional object placed on a table in another room.

Prize EXIT nationwide competition for students of art schools in the Czech Republic is announced by the Faculty of Arts and Design UJEP in Usti nad Labem.

Exhibition „Ateliér maľby“ represents  collectively graduates eponymous studio of the Academy of Fine Arts at Koceľova Street. 23 in Bratislava under the direction of Professor John Berger, from the years 1987-2008.

The painting’s theme and its overlapping became some specific feature of Criticism prize for this 3rd annual competition. It is understood in the context of the current artist production.

Already 13th anniversary one day collective exhibition at the Tape Modern. Thematic show of 15th artists interpreting night life phenomenon, culture of entertainment, disco architecture. The large exibition space, a former warehouse is itself a club space. One of the works, Melanie Manchot’s video installation is set of several videos of  club bounces from Ibiza, dressing themselves off and on. Parallel there are records of them posing in front of the real club. They are the necessary part of atmosphere of entertainment and consumerism, where stiffness is mixed with relaxation, privacy with communication, culture with cliche, etc.

Name of the exhibition is hardly translatable pun, on the one hand, evokes the famous book of Edward Lucie Smith, Art Today, also it means something like “art of date.”
