Soo Jung Choi selects trivial things or their illustrations from various contexts of everyday life and paints copies of them; once they have been separated from any precisely definable context, she introduces them into her large-format acrylics paintings and collages as both structuring elements and artistic depictions.

Exhibition project “Deep in Grass” isn’t just the latest example of the creative stage or the fresh works of painter Michael Czinege (1980). It is here on purposeful author’s concept and the selection of artifacts that represent the actual results of focused research and experimentation in the field of painting. He is studying the ways, that digital media techniques can be used in work of painter. His main interest is layering, where layers form different paths in different ways on the surface of canvas. Layering is made by silk screen printing method and sprays. Some of the fragments and forms get their own independence during the process and emancipate.
It is a kind of game with basic shapes, which results in both screenings shapes changes projected in one room gallery and the resulting three-dimensional object placed on a table in another room.

One of the works, Melanie Manchot’s video installation is set of several videos of club bounces from Ibiza, dressing themselves off and on. Parallel there are records of them posing in front of the real club. They are the necessary part of atmosphere of entertainment and consumerism, where stiffness is mixed with relaxation, privacy with communication, culture with cliche, etc.
Name of the exhibition is hardly translatable pun, on the one hand, evokes the famous book of Edward Lucie Smith, Art Today, also it means something like “art of date.”
