YOU AREN’T YOU, YOU ARE I

Josef Bolf is one of the most famous Czech artists of the generation born in the 1970s. His artworks and personality permeate Czech art. Josef Bolf never leaves the world of sorrow and emotions. He creates alternatives of his own experience on a pink background. He overcomes the limitations of individual media with the same ease as he crosses the line between real and unreal. His drawings are derived from paintings, sculptures, comics, texts and films. The exhibition, Ty nejsi Ty, Ty jsi já /You Aren’t You, You Are I/, organically blends the fragments of individual approaches and introduces the story of actual episodes in a semi-epic permeation of the resulting scene.
