Z druhej ruky
- We live in eastern Slovakia in the town Snina,00:00:04.798
- 00:00:04.798
- we have seven and half months old daughter Zuzanka,00:00:08.778
- 00:00:08.778
- which is an angel for us, thanks god I still breast-feed her.00:00:12.873
- 00:00:12.873
- And we prepare various kinds of delicacies for lunch, that she likes eating.00:00:18.842
- 00:00:18.842
- Why are they afraid of me?00:00:27.288
- 00:00:27.288
- She took a new challenge in her life, - she was shining.00:00:29.427
- 00:00:29.427
- I fully got myself into my ex-girlfriend in classic position.00:00:41.797
- 00:00:41.797
- Not into my current girlfriend.00:00:46.790
- 00:00:46.790
- I didn´t have anything to talk about with her, but she did,00:00:54.684
- 00:00:54.684
- no wonder - she was talking about things she did in the morning and in the afternoon.00:00:58.238
- 00:00:58.238
- In the entrance hall there are two complementary projects.00:01:08.144
- 00:01:08.144
- Both are working with the museum strategies, at the same time they also disrupt them,00:01:14.611
- 00:01:14.611
- or flirting with the limits of that which is institutionally perceived as art,00:01:24.039
- 00:01:24.039
- and on the other hand as a theoretical discourse.00:01:34.125
- 00:01:34.125
- These are postcards with appropriated photographs of natural sculptures.00:01:41.175
- 00:01:41.175
- On the other side there is a theoretical comment,00:01:48.054
- 00:01:48.054
- so a kind of illusion is made, that recognized theorists comment the natural sculptures,00:01:52.170
- 00:01:52.170
- which are not considered to be the exhibits of top galleries.00:02:00.755
- 00:02:00.755
- Then there is another work - exposition in exposition.00:02:11.463
- 00:02:11.463
- We chose 22 works of art of the depository,00:02:16.259
- 00:02:16.259
- and we let the employees of the gallery with no theoretical education of art,00:02:22.764
- 00:02:22.764
- to make comments on the works of art.00:02:28.816
- 00:02:28.816
- So the people that gave comments were ushers, technical support workers etc.00:02:32.493
- 00:02:32.493
- The visitor chooses the number of painting on the audio guide,00:02:38.338
- 00:02:38.338
- and listens to the comment of mentioned employees,00:02:49.379
- 00:02:49.379
- which is usually motivated by the painting, but based on personal experience in private life.00:02:52.811
- 00:02:52.811
- It was laborious in my opinion, I don´t know what does it represents,00:02:59.220
- 00:02:59.220
- maybe it represents people, their activities and rest or something of that kind.00:03:02.986
- 00:03:02.986
- But it made a good impression on me, it is peaceful, people look happily there.00:03:07.565
- 00:03:07.565
- The aim was achieved as it is supposed to depict peace.00:03:15.034
- 00:03:15.034
- Probably the author captured people out of rush, normally people are in hurry today,00:03:19.424
- 00:03:19.424
- and here everything has stopped, they enjoy the moment.00:03:30.847
- 00:03:30.847
- This series is titled The book of snowing, it doesn´t have a form of book,00:03:35.350
- 00:03:35.350
- it is work in progress and it is based on TV snowing, which signifies the absence of TV picture,00:03:47.011
- 00:03:47.011
- and we substite the absence with the texts, snowed on the screen.00:04:04.062
- 00:04:04.062
- The texts are of various sources, usually we mix up two texts commenting each other.00:04:10.583
- 00:04:10.583
- The so-called high theoretical texts are combined with so-called low texts, e.g. about stain removing.00:04:18.667
- 00:04:18.667
- Only when having rest or working out we put on sweatpants.00:04:33.172
- 00:04:33.172
- Eat less, drink more, do sport daily.00:04:36.305
- 00:04:36.305
- Put the blush on face powder to make natural look for your skin.00:04:42.873
- 00:04:42.873
- The work is titled The Automatic Mental Linking Destroyer, it is 6-channels sound installation,00:04:48.332
- 00:04:48.332
- it is a collection of various instructions, norms and regulations, mixed up in time and space.00:04:57.136
- 00:04:57.136
- The instructions are crisscrossed in space and they create an absurd intersection.00:05:09.243
- 00:05:09.243
- As for other works, it emphasizes the boundaries defining, delimiting by the rules.00:05:15.712
- 00:05:15.712
- They are delimited, but at the same time they are annulled by the constant and instant delimitation.00:05:29.721
- 00:05:29.721
- Jaro is literary researcher and critic, besides his serious work his activities are diversified.00:05:43.960
- 00:05:43.960
- One of his interests is to make this kind of portraits of Slovak writers,00:05:54.673
- 00:05:54.673
- he works with the plastic bags with logos and brands, painting names of Slovak writers over the brands.00:06:02.390
- 00:06:02.390
- In my opinion this work may be seen as follow-up of critical writing.00:06:16.641
- 00:06:16.641
- Then we can see photographic reviews published since 2011 in Romboid.00:06:23.515
- 00:06:23.515
- He is not using written language to give a critical review, but he makes visual reactions.00:06:32.438
- 00:06:32.438
- The subject matter seems to be subordinate, dissolved in a bit ponderous but apt00:06:40.830
- 00:06:40.830
- coaction of overmattered painting contents.00:07:04.842
