ATELIÉR MAĽBY, KOCEĽOVA 23
Výstava Ateliér maľby predstavuje súhrnne absolventov rovnomenného ateliéru Vysokej školy výtvarných umení na Koceľovej ul. 23 v Bratislave pod vedením profesora Jána Bergera z rokov 1987–2008.
Generáciu mladých maliarov, ktorí majú spoločný základ, názorové východiská a z tohto uhla predstavuje dimenziu danú ich následným vývojom a súčasnou tvorbou. Výstava „Ateliér maľby“ a tvorba 41 absolventov pripomenie v poslednom čase opomínané kvality komornej maľby v obsahovom zmysle slova, v autorskej osobitosti a kultúre maliarskeho poňatia.
- The Department of Painting consisted00:00:15.703
- 00:00:15.703
- of three studios00:00:19.099
- 00:00:19.099
- among which one strictly focused on painting.00:00:21.696
- 00:00:21.696
- The choice was on a committee.00:00:25.779
- 00:00:25.779
- When they opted for me, they opted00:00:29.169
- 00:00:29.169
- for the studio of painting.00:00:31.825
- 00:00:31.825
- Of course, this raised many objections as to00:00:33.914
- 00:00:33.914
- why paint, why not make objects00:00:37.522
- 00:00:37.522
- and installations, but this was00:00:40.559
- 00:00:40.559
- the purpose of the Studio.00:00:43.382
- 00:00:43.382
- There is a number of people00:00:45.937
- 00:00:45.937
- who want to study art00:00:48.722
- 00:00:48.722
- to become painters.00:00:51.407
- 00:00:51.407
- So I tried to accomodate00:00:54.003
- 00:00:54.003
- this group of young people.00:00:57.782
- 00:00:57.782
- And also, I couldn't teach something00:01:01.126
- 00:01:01.126
- I haven't done myself.00:01:04.168
- 00:01:04.168
- So this is the basic information.00:01:06.988
- 00:01:06.988
- I think that variety is typical00:01:11.011
- 00:01:11.011
- for the Studio of painting of professor Berger.00:01:13.634
- 00:01:13.634
- The purpose of the Studio was00:01:17.190
- 00:01:17.190
- to give the students the best foundations,00:01:20.185
- 00:01:20.185
- to teach them the basics00:01:24.383
- 00:01:24.383
- that would allow them to find their own style.00:01:27.048
- 00:01:27.048
- It is a pity that the Academy's curriculum00:01:32.070
- 00:01:32.070
- has been reduced and this Studio00:01:35.355
- 00:01:35.355
- has had to fight for its program00:01:37.989
- 00:01:37.989
- because the school should offer00:01:41.947
- 00:01:41.947
- enough space for a wide range00:01:44.923
- 00:01:44.923
- of artistic expressions.00:01:47.999
- 00:01:47.999
- This is the way to find new, original00:01:50.578
- 00:01:50.578
- styles, talents and programs.00:01:54.032
- 00:01:54.032
- In order to master painting,00:02:50.673
- 00:02:50.673
- all students of the Studio of painting00:02:53.931
- 00:02:53.931
- had to learn traditional techniques.00:02:57.213
- 00:02:57.213
- Many people found this too conservative.00:03:00.287
- 00:03:00.287
- They thought they were beyond that.00:03:03.400
- 00:03:03.400
- But for me, if there's anyone00:03:07.576
- 00:03:07.576
- who knows how to paint, it's this Studio.00:03:10.428
- 00:03:10.428
- Its students can really choose their own way,00:03:13.784
- 00:03:13.784
- unlike those who focused on current trends.00:03:17.673
- 00:03:17.673
- They may have mastered these trends00:03:21.193
- 00:03:21.193
- but their path is already given00:03:24.349
- 00:03:24.349
- and it is difficult to leave it.00:03:26.724
