ČERVENÁ
…je jedna z vizuálně nejvýraznějších barev světelného spektra. Zároveň patří v malířství mezi symbolicky nejzatíženější (krev, oheň, život, smrt). Petrbokův polyptych přebírá historickou obrazovou formu. Zdůrazněná vertikalita připomíná stravující tělesnost při hoření ohně. Autor svádí boj o realistický výraz prostřednictvím ironie, černého humoru, dekontextu, zasévání chyb, fragmentace plochy, hyperrealistických detailů apod. Formy jsou však přes všechnu destrukci předurčeny k tomu, navazovat vztahy a odkazovat na zkušenost. Přemalby tisků rozvíjejí ne-logiku koláží. Diskontinuita, náhoda, fragmentace. A přece je tu nakonec vyhřeznut a vydáven nějaký neurčitý obsah. Uvažování v kompozici vpouští do světa dlouhonohé „Karkůlky“ v odfiltrovaném světle podobně jako Botticelliho Venuše připlouvá v lastuře vstříc břehu, neboť se rodí (Zrození Venuše).
