ANSWERED PRAYERS
Výstava Answered je samostatnou prezentáciou víťaza Ceny Oskára Čepana 2009. Pre výstavu v Galérií Médium si András Csefalvay vybral médium video inštalácie. Prezentácia sa odohráva prevažne na veľkoplošných plátnach, doplnená je tabuľami, obsahujúcimi slovný komentár, dotvárajúci pohyblivý obraz.Vyberá si veľké témy (láska, politika, smrť, umenie), ktoré spracúva do výpovedí oslovených respondentov. Tí, nasvietení vo veľkom presklenom detaile caravaggiovským svetlom ako naliehavé portréty barokových mučeníkov, rozprávajú na kameru o zadanej téme.
Pohyblivý obraz je poňatý ako monumentálny portrét, kde sa každé gesto, zavreté oči, pohyb či ustrnutie stávajú mienkotvornými a ďalšou rovinou prispievajú k čítaniu celku.
Výsledných sedem projekcií nie je náhodným číslom – táto symbolika, spolu s témou, veľkolepým formátom a čistou prácou kamery prispievajú k výsledku, ktorý by mal podčiarkovať práve to, čo pred rokom komisia Ceny Oskára Čepana na mladom debutantovi ocenila: odhad a odvahu. Odvahu k patetickej forme a odhad k jej vybalancovaniu.
