Zpráva z neokortexu
Nový projekt Pavly Scerankové (*1980) tematizuje lidský sen, jenž se mnohdy stává neodbytným a naléhavým. Proto se autorka rozhodla nalézt smysl jeho sdělení a zrekonstruovat jej pomocí projekce a interaktivního objektu.
Výstava s názvem Zpráva z neokortexu umožňuje divákovi nahlédnout do prostoru „nevědomí“ a zároveň mu ponechává místo k vlastnímu výkladu, nadsázce a hře. A to i za tu cenu, že se jedná o hru mrazivou, vedoucí k nepochopení, nebo alespoň k částečnému porozumění sobě samému. Fyzickou konfrontací s tvarově nejednoznačným objektem a vizuálním prožitkem vzniká v našich myslích náš vlastní obraz, jenž je skutečným sdělením mladé umělkyně.

- It is a picture from a dream. A dream I dreamt.00:00:08.482
- 00:00:08.482
- But in some respects, this picture is very different from the usual.00:00:15.375
- 00:00:15.375
- Thw dream was very clear.00:00:21.720
- 00:00:21.720
- And I could easily remember it in the morning.00:00:23.931
- 00:00:23.931
- It was a house with a tower on a hill.00:00:28.212
- 00:00:28.212
- Some sort of substance was rotating around the tower.00:00:33.403
- 00:00:33.403
- As if someone had raised dust in my studio.00:00:39.862
- 00:00:39.862
- And that's it.00:00:44.107
- 00:00:44.107
- The visual aspect of the dream was extremely clear.00:00:46.904
- 00:00:46.904
- It wasn't a hazy, blurred picture.00:00:52.126
- 00:00:52.126
- I had a feeling it was a message my brain is trying to tell me.00:00:57.516
- 00:00:57.516
- I tried to decipher the message,00:01:04.139
- 00:01:04.139
- but to tell the truth, I didn't arrive at any conceptual meaning.00:01:09.881
- 00:01:09.881
- What caught my interest00:01:17.544
- 00:01:17.544
- was the feeling of having met my subconsciousness.00:01:23.733
- 00:01:23.733
- It's a triviality, but that's how I felt.00:01:29.324
- 00:01:29.324
- My understanding of myself in my brain is only one part.00:01:34.395
- 00:01:34.395
- There is also a part that exists on its own.00:01:37.776
- 00:01:37.776
- It's not my subconsciousness, it's something totally independent.00:01:41.361
- 00:01:41.361
- I don't know if it's like schizophrenia...00:01:47.125
- 00:01:47.125
- It is some sort of being...00:01:49.698
- 00:01:49.698
- A being living with me, inside of me.00:01:53.358
- 00:01:53.358
- The object is a relatively free interpretation.00:01:57.830
- 00:01:57.830
- I needed to reach the rotation.00:02:03.444
- 00:02:03.444
- I didn't want to do it mechanically, to have the mass rotating on sticks...00:02:06.682
- 00:02:06.682
- It became a flying, rotating mass.00:02:13.683
- 00:02:13.683
- In this case, it's the visitor, the content of the gallery.00:02:22.913
- 00:02:22.913
- It's the church, the tower, rotating around you.00:02:28.139
