Petr Malina is a careful observer of surrounding events. His approach is strictly voyeuristic.

He is secretly photographing future themes for his paintings (mostly from behind or in profile); rarely are his “victims” conscious participants in this process. In this way he achieves certain authenticity – eliminating the process of posing and self-stylization. The concept of his work then continues: in selection of themes photographed, in stylising the depicted object, in suppressing or highlighting preferred details.
The Two Worlds exhibition presents two worlds. They are gallery “worlds” (interior, exterior) and open landscape and urban agglomeration scenes. These are linked to places and cities that the author visited and built a relationship to them.
