- First I will say it in general.00:00:14.864
- 00:00:14.864
- Then I will be more concrete.00:00:17.868
- 00:00:17.868
- Videocamp is essentially a bizzare exhibition event00:00:20.868
- 00:00:20.868
- which mainly presents videoart as artistic medium.00:00:29.663
- 00:00:29.663
- It is not meant as a festival of videoart,00:00:39.273
- 00:00:39.273
- Since the videos are the most portable medium00:00:43.107
- 00:00:43.107
- and financially and with respect to installation it is quite easy.00:00:50.178
- 00:00:50.178
- Most of all, it is possible to exhibit the works together00:00:54.630
- 00:00:54.630
- without them being distracting to each other.00:01:00.630
- 00:01:00.630
- What makes this event even more bizzare is that00:01:04.630
- 00:01:04.630
- the artists stay here in the tent city.00:00:09.301
- 00:00:09.301
- In fact, the people who camp here also represent a large part of the public.00:01:18.111
- 00:01:18.111
- I admit that this is a kind of community thing here.00:01:22.722
- 00:01:22.722
- People here reflect on each other's work.00:01:25.145
- 00:01:25.145
- This is the sixth year, for the first time here in Kutná Hora.00:01:28.982
- 00:01:28.982
- Actually I didn´t want to organize it any more.00:01:31.965
- 00:01:31.965
- I thought it had become a routine.00:01:36.695
- 00:01:36.695
- On the other hand, I think it makes sense to do it here.00:01:43.841
- 00:01:43.841
- The first videocamps were built around the idea00:01:49.441
- 00:01:49.441
- of a kind of institutional parasitism, where the artists00:01:53.129
- 00:01:53.129
- plug in to the electrical power supply of some gallery institution00:01:56.449
- 00:01:56.449
- and camp there for a day, as part of their independence.00:02:00.521
- 00:02:00.521
- They put up an exhibition in a public space,00:02:06.625
- 00:02:06.625
- camp, present their works, free to come and go at will.00:02:11.370
- 00:02:11.370
- It should pose as a counterbalance to the festival Creepeee Teepee.00:02:18.100
- 00:02:18.100
- This should do.00:02:28.276
- 00:02:28.276
- Enough of my rambling...00:02:30.963
- 00:02:30.963
- We can edit it, cut some...00:02:34.748
- 00:02:34.748
- Thanks a lot.00:02:40.109
- 00:02:40.109
- The concept of the project is an absurd, spatial game00:03:05.000
- 00:03:05.000
- based on me digging myself into the ground00:03:10.754
- 00:03:10.754
- until I can no longer get out.00:03:15.443
- 00:03:15.443
- I make these makeshift steps and then I would like to00:03:18.236
- 00:03:18.236
- raze them and remain here for some time, imprisoned00:03:22.785
- 00:03:22.785
- until somebody drops me a ladder.00:03:28.957
- 00:03:28.957
- Is this all you want to tell us?00:03:37.264
- 00:03:37.264
- Well, I will shovel the soil back in afterwards00:03:40.120
- 00:03:40.120
- It is more of an absurd game, spatial anecdote.00:03:44.160
- 00:03:44.160
- It is not meant as landart.00:03:48.879
