The Czech Centre in Bucharest relishes being a very popular cultural intersection within a local cultural climate. Documentary Mondays concentrate not only on contemporary Czech documentary film but also on sneak previews of local renowned directors. This event has been held for the third year already. The Centre is also a founder of one of the most important Romanian film festivals: One World Romania – a documentary film festival on human rights.
The director of the Centre René Kubášek explains in an interview the role of the Centre together with a position of the Czech Republic within Europe and activities of other institutions that carry out the same cultural mission in Bucharest.
