The socio-political project ATLANTIS unites artists from Germany, Greece, Bulgaria, Austria and Slovakia to discuss the transitional period of change within Europe beginning in 1989, with an aim of broadening our understanding of the development of the Central Europe.

The project utilises the mythical country of Atlantis as a starting point for the artists involved. 20 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain the utopian society of Atlantis gains a new meaning.

The core of the project is the creation of site-specific works, realised in the no man`s land of country borders, as well as works made especially for the gallery space.
