Patrik Kriššák develops in his work a theme focused on the painting itself and the painting media. Great painting is alternated by low-tech materials. Entering the painting space and framework or pervading new media into the canvases provide him a tool for making the painting and its traditional understanding relative. It is not a great battle for the „last painting“ full of pathos. It is rather a punk game for which simple or seemingly banal themes and compositions are typical. It is a game with the painting phenomenon and painting materials.
