Michael Gimenez translates the format of an on-line chat session into a regular debate of people present in a room. Twenty participants meet to discuss a US Today article, which reports one of the murders that took place at a teenage student party. The author analyzes the perspectives of individual participants, transforms the written text into a spoken discourse, and creates an absurd “theatrical” situation. The discussion becomes tense and climaxes in radical statements. It reminds one of the so-called Godwin’s Law, according to which all longer on-line discussions make, at a certain moment, some comparison to Nazism and Holocaust.
