At the 53rd Biennale in Venice, the Czech and Slovak pavilion presented Roman Ondák’s exhibition “LOOP,” in which Ondák transferred the outside world, the real environment, into the exhibition space. The gallery space thus becomes an extension of the exterior environment – a park with vegetation. The artist here calls attention to our perception of everyday reality and highlights the uniqueness of the gallery space, characterized by its separation from reality, the exclusion of the outside world, and isolation.
