The project OPENEON participates in the present trend of bringing art and design closer to the general public. With the help of neon technology it ‘brings to light’ today‘s cultural and social issues, at the same time confronting the public with contemporary design.
Thus the public recognises visual communication as a discipline that can both express a critical view on present political and social issues, as well as one that can be relevant in the context of contemporary art.
The task of OPENEON is to exhibit and to educate. It enhances alternative tourism, collaboration and the building of cultural networks.
