Along the Sight Lines

This solo exhibition by Berlin-based artist Sinta Werner features a sitespecific installation and a new series of collages.

Werner’s intention was to use elaborate fictitious environments in order to question our conventional ways of seeing and representing.

Werner’s site-specific work is experienced through a dual process of revelation: First, the concept of a single-point-perspective (found in most of her installations) offers a fixed and contemplative vision with references to photography and Renaissance painting; secondly, the discovery of the mechanisms of illusion then evokes a vision of multiple points of view recalling postmodern principles.
