We are an editorial collective shaped by the artistic environment. Our focus is on contemporary art in the context of current social issues, along with an exploration of its critical potential.
Individual lectures or series of talks are recorded in cooperation with various art and educational institutions. There are five videos recording lectures by foreign guests within the program Class of Interpretation, which took place in 2018 and 2019 at the Academy of Fine Arts in co-operation with the Vienese Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary and curated by Václav Janoščík and Boris Ondreička. In 2017 Artyčok.TV began cooperating with the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery in Prague and for two years recorded lectures given in the gallery by architects and architectural theoreticians. In 2014 the Artyčok.TV website introduced a series dealing with the moving image entitled Live Cinema under the auspices of the Center of audio-visual studies at FAMU. In this section you will also find ten parts of a series called History of contemporary art curatorship. In 2016 within the framework of the Festival Fotograf #6 Cultura Natura several lectures related to art, nature and the environment were given – let us mention for example the lecture by the artist Ursula Biemann and Nabil Ahmed, the French anthropologist Philipp Descola entitled Too Human World, lectures by the American art theoretician T. J. Demos or Maja and Reuben Fowkes.
Since 2014 Artyčok.TV has been cooperating also with KRUH organizing lectures by architects and architectural theoreticians.
Some of the publications we were not able to migrate from the old web to the new one. We are working hard on getting them all back here. Thank you for your understanding.269 results
