Now in its seventh year, this year’s Start Point attracted students from 33 art schools from 15 countries. At each participating school, a threemember committee consisting of two representatives from the Start Point jury and one local teacher selects the school’s “best” graduation project. At the exhibition opening, the jury then announces the final winner from among all competing projects. Since 2008, the exhibition has awarded several additional prizes as well: The Gallery Klatovy/Klenová Award, presented by the gallery’s curators, includes a onemonth residency at Klenová during the next year. Each year, there are also several Honorary Mentions.
