The members of the Ostrava’s artistic group, František Lozinski o.p.s. (František Kowolowski, Petr Lysáček and Jiří Surůvka) are both bold and singular personalities of the Czech art scene. Despite the differences between their individual approaches and media, their common work deals with social and socio-critical issues. They sharply criticize the ethos of well-known clichés, which they deconstruct, demystify and ironize. With straightforward and subversive humour, their work often confronts popular culture, religion, the cult of the artist and his position within society.
