JCHA 555 Aleš Čermák: Právo na město

The presentation of Aleš Čermák took place in Ostrava within the festival V ulicích (In the Streets). It had a form of a public discussion about social issues of the region, such as unemployment or minority integration. The finalist Aleš Čermák invited to the discussion civic and social activists, Romany community representatives and sociologists ( Kumar Vishwanathan, Imrich Horváth, Lucie Mastná, Lukáš Matoška and Ondřej Lánský). The debate was accompanied by music performances of children from the Přednádraží street.

JCHA 555 Aleš Čermák: Právo na město
In the lecture, I would like to address the issue of the labour of the artist from the perspective of the feminist artistic work and discuss, how already from the end of the 1970s feminists artists engaged with the issues of the flexible and precarious work, the issues that are also so pertinent in the labour of the artist today. From the perspective of those artists, the exploration of labour opened new dimension how to understand and reflect upon labour of female artist and her emancipated life.
