In the late 1990s, Marcel Fišer worked as an art historian and curator to develop the Klatovy / Klenová Gallery, which he headed from 2000 to 2009. Since 2010, he has been the director of the Gallery of Fine Art in Cheb, which this year held an exhibition of AVU graduate works from the years 1969 to 1989. He returned to the school in a lecture offering an alternative view of the history of AVU and of visual culture during Normalization.
