The exhibition Freim bai freim II is a reaction to the absence of curatorial projects reflecting the media of animation in contemporary work of visual art or to the absence of theoretical reviews dealing with this issue. The aim of the exhibition is to show its potential to react to the current questions of contemporary art. Furthermore it broadens the festival Fest Anča with the animation projected in gallery or other public spaces.
Some works are the reaction to the particular problems of the region of Žilina with the global overlap, such as decline of textile factory Slovena, contemporary phenomenon of automobile manufacturing plant KIA or the production of polystyrene threatening the environment. The authors followed the research based on the history of local particularities such as popular gliding centre in Stránik or almost vanished Jewish community, its architecture, sport, cultural and religious rites.
