The exhibition project Attempt Of by Miroslav Nicz (b. 1963) continues on from his previous video performances. This is especially the case of Autofikcia – Nulový Variant (TG Poprad, 2001), in which he also makes use of the written word.
The current project is once again a meeting between street events (performed live along with the projection) and textual art, and articulates the long standing interests of the artist: interaction between the visual and the viewer, and the acceptable boundaries that separate art from everyday life.
Attempt Of emphasises the justification of art’s existence, as well as the overall meaning of Nicz’s artistic output, where the artist and his digital ‘alter-ego’ perform their mutually co-operative relationship.
