Last fifty years

Contemporary art does not yet have its own history. It therefore makes no sense to tell its story chronologically, but rather thematically, with an emphasis on the diversity of approaches to artistic creation by individual artists. The contemporary art exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové is largely based on its recent acquisitions. It presents artists of the middle and younger generations who have only recently made their mark on public collections.
