Ruta Pu. and Urte Janus are artists from Lithuania, currently based at London. Both graduated as photographers at Middlesex University, London. They started to work together while studying and continued doing so after finishing their studies.
Their working technique is based on visual story-telling for which they create set and costume design, combining found and made objects with characters placed in the set. The created scene is documented and becomes a visual metaphor for the idea behind it.
At the moment both are interested in color White and contemporary society’s obsession for the Surface.
