Alexander Schikowski started to work with Photoarchive in Romania in 1995. He travels mainly across Russia and Hungary but also Switzerland, USA, France and Germany to draw motifs for his work. A wooden box in an exhibition space works as a mobile presentation object in which the author keeps his photographs. He calls his work in the process of development „Nur Bilder“ (Just a picture“). At the exhibition there is a selection of pictures the viewers can individually arrange on a gallery wall. Thus they become a part of the event. Schikowski sometimes uses the selected pictures to transfer painting into the new medium retrospectively. His objects and videos were displayed in the Make Up Gallery from September 6, 2012.
