There will also be displayed an installation of a moving picture with the use of diaprojection called Grating which was created by Filip Cenek together with Tereza Sochorová. The installation is a part of an accompanying event MFDF Jihlava (section off-screen Laboratorium place). Art is shown to people and people are shown to art The work of this year’s five finalists will be presented for the first time to the public in accordance with the idea of the theoretician and art critic Jindřich Chalupecký who claimed that art is shown to people and people are shown to art. The finalists of the 22nd year of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award will be gradually introduced within a running event entitled 5 Finalists, 5 Months, 5 Places. In the course of five months the artists will display their work in different forms at five selected places in five different ways. „The aim is to show the public the best that is being created within our art platform, to show current tendencies and how artists reflect the contemporary situation,“ says Lenka Lindaurová, a member of the Jindřich Chalupecký Society.
