Kathrin Rhomberg

Kathrin Rhomberg is a curator. She was curator of the Berlin Biennial 6, Berlin (2010), and an advisor and corresponding member of Secession, Vienna. Previously Rhomberg was director of the Kölnischer Kunstverein, Cologne from 2002–2007 and curator and exhibition organizer at Secession, Vienna from 1994–2001. She is co-founder, together with Maria Hlavajova, of the tranzit network, which supports exchange and contemporary art practices in Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. Her recent curatorial projects include: Ion Grigorescu: In the Body of the Victim 1969–2008, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, 2009; Sanja Iveković. General Alert. Works 1974–2007 (co-curated), Fundació Antoni Tàpies, Barcelona, 2007; and Projekt Migration, Cologne, 2002–2006 on migration in post-war Germany, which was an initiative of the German Federal Cultural Foundation. She also co-curated Manifesta 3, Ljubljana, 2000. Rhomberg lives and works in Berlin and Vienna.
