Tender cinema

Operation of a gallery between day and night, an authorial decomposition of creative processes between conscious and unconscious activities represents an object of a pair of exhibitions that will be taking place in an approximate one week space. One of them works with time monolith of one day and the other with time definition of one week.  The exhibition in Brno starts with one-day performance that will be recorded. This 24- hour-long record will be installed immediately when the event is over on April 2, 2012 in the unchanged gallery environment where the performance has taken place. It may seem that the Fröhlich´s creation starts to be more abstract here – subconscious desire relating to time recording, its fragmentation and imagination within the operation of the gallery.

We hope that by combining a number of various artworks and projects, hints of possibility will begin to emerge, from which a way out of today’s situation, that is oppressive on many levels, can slowly be carved. When it seems there is nowhere to run, we can try running into the future – and from there, start to reshape the present.
