The international art project “Transart Communication – Public Dialog” targets the frontier region between Hungary and Slovakia. The purpose of the festival is to contemplate the key issues concerning interethnic and multicultural relationships, namely the coexistence of the Slovaks and the Hungarians in the present days.In the public spaces of Komárno and Komárom, two cities divided by the frontier and situated on opposite banks of the Danube, twenty Hungarian and Slovak artists realize their projects, hoping to make a contribution to the solution of the existing tension stemming from cultural and ethnic friction. The project includes an art symposium, a public art exhibition, performances, and discussions.
