The project Grid is related to the previous attempts to abandon painting and move towards moving pictures. Vladimír Houdek continues in the spirit of modernity but at the same time he experiments with new forms. He presents a new series of collages and short videos that are related to his film The Trickling Expanse. The dance choreography is once again the result of his cooperation with Hana Polanska Turečková. The dance stems from collages which are thus interpreted and translated into another means of expression. The exhibition offers a spectacular and refined collage on the border-line between installation, theatre, cabaret, film and photography. The supporting content construction of the installation collage is a grid which forms a raster and a background for everything that is happening. The grid is not only a space in which we move but a space we can catch hold of and also a space which can catch hold of us. This way the collage acquires new layers and the spectator becomes one of the ingredients of the work.
