Raqs Media Collective is an art group from New Delhi, India. Its members Jeebesh Bagchi, Monica Narula and Shuddhabrata Sengupta are not typical artists. They make movies, create internet projects, publish books, collaborate with local communities, curate international exhibitions and engage in philosophical provocations. Their major aim is to criticize globalization and impacts of modernizing processes on life of Indian society, mainly in New Delhi. Their language is a poetical blend of contemporary technical means and mythological roots of human experience of reality. They collaborated on international exhibitons Documenta 11, 51. Venice Biennale, Manifesta 7.
