Secondhand

The exhibition Secondhand is the project of art duo Marianna Mlynárčiková (1971), Nóra Ružičková (1977) and it is a domestic contribution to the discourse of institutional criticism. Through the exhibited works the authors respond to art institution operation and its methods, which determine the contents of the terms as the artist, art and work of art. They point out the frames, which create and at the same time close the sphere of art.
On the other hand the project is a product of institutional operation and the authors themselves are also actively involved in it. By the free choice of so-called “view from within” they partially count with the absorption of their own critical potential. Thus that is presented mainly from the perspective of ironical affirming the status quo.
