This newproject fromPavla Sceranková (b. 1980) thematizes the human dream as an experience which can fairly often become irrepressible and imposing. Confronted with these qualities, the artist decided to try and find themeaning of the dream´smessage, and to reconstruct itwith the aid of projection and an interactive object.
The show, entitled A Message from the Neocortex, enables the viewers to peek into the domain of the “unconscious”, while at the same time leaving themenough roomto reach their own interpretation, resorting to the use of hyperbole and game-playing, even at the price of such a game´s potentially chilling effects conducive to either misunderstanding, or at the most only partial understanding of oneself.
