Jan De Vylder with Inge Vinck and Jo Taillieu leads the Belgian architectural studio dvvt in Gent and recently started to teach at ETH in Zurich. In response to what is expected today from architecture, the two architects concentrate on constructing a banal everyday reality in which they find the opportunities to overcome the expectations. Jan de Vylder was awarded the Silver Lion at the Biennale of Architecture for a project of the Psychiatric Clinic pavilion of Caritas in Melle (2017).
