The Bohemian Forest Painter is a fabular character of art demiworld, a dreamer of archetypal extent, a pure substance of craft. A homonymous video by Anita Somrová consists of two parts – a scenario for the video called Maler and the video itself called Maler Von Böhmerwald. The scenario is a collage of found scenes from fairy tales, videos and TV shows. An eclectic mix where Zdeněk Troška meets The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and a hair-metal video meets the fairy tale Cook, mug, cook! The video Maler Von Böhmerwald then works with a similar go-ahead manner in a bigger space.
