“In the life of a solo performer a duet is always welcome. Where we take these ideas will be the adventure; not what you are doing but how you feel about what you are doing.” (William Hunt, December 2012)

William Hunt was born in London in 1977 and graduated from Goldsmiths College in 2005. He currently lives and works in Düsseldorf. William Hunt’s work often involves performances in which he plays acoustic music under extreme physical conditions. As in most of his performances, comic and tragic elements play an important role, as does the demand for a high degree of physical exertion.

School of performance is a part of an extensive project called School of avant-garde which Avdej Ter-Oganjan started in 1995 and which continued until 1998. The first group of students he worked with included students of different ages with non-artistic backgrounds and their cooperation did not last long. The second group included mostly Avdej´s son´s David´s friends who were of more or less the same age. The project was an experimental introduction of inexperienced and naïve teenagers into the world of art.
