When talking about young Belarusian artists, Sergey Shabohin is the first to be mentioned. One of the most important local conceptual artist, he mostly works in field of installation and ready-made.
In his artwork Shabohin reflects on art activism in the face of institutional or political authoritarianism. He also works a lot as a curator, and runs some critical educational projects.
