In Between

Seiko Hihara in IDEAL Space presented a participative installation; spatial needlework. The fabric divided space and forms the border for a joint action between the author and the audience. In-Between was about audience participation; a situation in space. We remained silent during our activity.

In Between
Both authors work with fictional worlds (seemingly) untouched by humans, which serve as romanticized escapes from the chaotic reality of the present. Instead of the desired contemplation, the scenes of an untouched natural world evoke an almost disturbing feeling of permanence and death.
