Radical Pedagogy

Tomasz Fudala is a curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. His lecture will look at the life and work of architect Oskar Hansen (1922–2005), who at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s formulated the concept of Open Form. According to this concept, a work of art should not be a finished artiface, but a changing structure shaped by human activities. He applied this view not just to architecture, but to all activities. Hansen was an influential teacher who directly or indirectly influenced several generations of Polish artists.
