Martin Piaček

Since 2006 Martin Piaček (1972) has been thematically dealing in his work chiefly with a personal identity from the nationally historic point of view, a genetically accidental affilation to the Slovakian national and state identity and the following unobvious cultural identity as well. Piaček peculiarly engages in critical points of his „own“ national history. Distrust in official history and its linear causality and purpose mythologization is typical of his work as well as the need to cope with the given predetermination and curiosity related to a personal research.
